PREPARING FILES FOR PRINTING
Document Layout
Create your document at 100% final size unless very large, in which case scale image to 50% or 25%, but please document this to us.
All documents should have sufficient image bleed to allow for normal trimming tolerances – we suggest adding 5mm on all sides at final trim size. Please pay attention to the placement of trim and crop marks – errors made in scaled layouts are magnified on enlargement and printing.
Digital images should be supplied at a minimum resolution of 150 dpi at final output size. For prints smaller than A3 size, supply at 300dpi minimum. If images are at a lower resolution, do not artificially increase the resolution – please supply images at its original resolution leaving enlargement to us at print time.
Color Mode
Ensure that the entire document is either all CMYK or all RGB but not a combination of both. Where Spot colors are used, ensure you notify us if PMS matching is required. For Photographic Fine Art & Metallic printing we recommend the profile Adobe RGB 1998.
Fonts
Please supply screen and printer versions of all fonts used in the document. If you are suppling an In-Design, Illustrator or Freehand file please ensure all fonts are converted to outline.
File Organization
Keep all related files together in a single folder and make sure that your document has updated links to component files. Please do not supply any files that are not used in your Document or Order.
